The keys to the offense were turned over to Bratcher in his first year as the starting quarterback and he produced an impressive season ending with an All-Region honor. Bratcher ended the season with 1,890 passing yards on 142 completions and 15 touchdowns, which ranked as the 4th best passing yards in a single season and 8th All-Time in passing yards at BHP. A monster year from Bratcher could catapult him into 1st All-Time in career passing yards this season (needing 2,360 passing yards).

#3 WR Xaiver Nance | 5'11'' | 180 lbs | Senior
Coming into the 2017 season, Nance was marked as one of the major keys to the offense after coming off a 2016 season with 45 catches for 609 yards and four touchdowns in his sophomore season. Nance started the season showing how explosive he could be. In the first two games of the 2017 season, Nance recorded consecutive 100 yard receiving games. Nance’s 2017 season was cut short due to an injury in the 4th game of the season. As the 2018 season starts, Nance enters with 80 career receptions for 1,021 yards, which ranks 4th All-Time.

#25 RB RJ Ellis | 6'0'' | 175 lbs | Junior
Ellis entered the 2017 season competing for a starting position in a very crowded backfield, but by the end of the season he was cemented as the number one starter and led the team in rushing yards and touchdowns. Ellis racked up six 100 rushing yard games in the regular season. Ellis also turned in a dominant performance against Powdersville by rushing for 288 yards (8th most all time). Ellis comes into the 2018 season outside the top 10 BHP rushers All-Time, but with a 1,606 rushing yards season he will take over 2nd place All-Time.

#21 WR Bryalon Oliver | 6'3'' | 175 lbs | Sophomore
Oliver started the 2017 season on the defensive side of the ball, but by the end of the season he had become one of the team’s top pass catchers. From Game 8 on, Oliver was second on the team in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Oliver recorded a dominant performance in the last game of the regular season with three receptions for 86 yards and one receiving touchdown, along with a game tying 97-yard kickoff return touchdown.

#4 WR Jacob Howard | 6'1'' | 175 lbs | Senior
Howard became one of the most reliable targets for the Bears last season with catches in all but one game. He produced his best game against Daniel turning in a team high 61 yards and gaining a 58 yard reception, which was the third longest offensive play last season.

Reece was one of only four retuning BHP receivers with a touchdown last season. Reece’s 2017 season was cut short with an injury in the 8th game. Reece’s production was enough to gain an All-Region nomination.

#6 DB Joseph Sloan IV | 6'0'' | 197 lbs | Junior
Sloan lead all underclassmen on defense last season in total tackles, solo tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks. Sloan was the second in tackles for loss and sacks for the whole team. Sloan’s play ramped up as the season went along; in the last four regular season games Sloan racked up 23 of his 40 total tackles, but his most impactful game was against Daniel where he recorded three sacks and four tackles for loss.

#10 DB Antareus Pressley | 6'1'' | 155 lbs | Senior
Pressley was another member of the 2017 secondary that was able to reduce passing yard, completions, and passing touchdowns from 2016. Pressley was one of only six Bear defenders with an interception 2017 season. Pressley came up big against Wren last season racking up 4 total tackles, 1 INT, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery.

Greer was able to be used all over the field as just a Sophomore. Greer spent most of his time on defense having multiple 5 tackle game. Greer was also able to make an impact on special teams late in the season with four kickoff returns for a 21.8 yard average in the last four games of the season.

Galloway is the second member of the 2017 defensive line returning. Galloway ended the year with four sacks and eight tackles for loss. Also, Galloway, the largest member of the team last season, was one of only six Bears with an interception last year.
