2026 Week 2 Bear Tracks

The Bears took a bigger, deeper T.L. Hanna team to the wire in the season opener, leading late into the fourth quarter before a 24-yard walk-off kick sent the night to Hanna, 17-14. Even in the loss, this group proved talent and fight still run deep at BHP, and now the challenge only steepens. The number two team in 3A, the Daniel Lions, will host the Bears with maybe the best offense the Bears will see all season and a defense to match. We break down the opener and give the three keys that will decide Friday, And of course, why Them Big Bad Bear Fans need to pack the place once again.

2026 Week 1 Bear Tracks

The offseason gave Bear Fans plenty to sit with. A season that ended wrong, a coaching change, weeks of waiting, and finally Coach Crane's name on the door. Now BHP hosts T.L. Hanna in the 27th meeting between these two and the first since 2021, two of the most consistent programs in the state finally back on the same field. Both sides are breaking in new faces, both have questions to answer, and Friday night is where the answers start.

The 2026 Bear Tracks Five Questions

Call it a preseason tradition now, but I can't start a season without proposing 5 questions that will shap the upcoming campaign. This year the list came easy, because the questions are everywhere. New head coach, a new quarterback picture, and a schedule that might be the toughest in program history. From what a Coach Crane team will actually look like to whether this offense can be even more dangerous than the last few years, here is where I landed. And yes, I get into the question everyone keeps asking about this schedule, though I think it needs to be flipped on its head.
