2026 Week 4 Bear Tracks

BHP finally broke through in Week 3, beating JL Mann 31-17 behind a defense that made program history with five interceptions from five different players. It was the first win of the season and the first for Coach Crane at BHP. Now the Bears hit the road at 1-2 to face an Abbeville team BHP haven't beaten since 1993 and haven't visited since a 1995. Here's how the win came together, and what it will take to get a win in A-Town.

2026 Week 3 Bear Tracks

BHP dropped to 0-2 for the first time since 2008 after a 45-7 road loss to Daniel, but the scoreboard buried the real story of a young Bears team that held one of 3A's best offenses to 80 yards in the first quarter and outscored the Lions coming out of the half. This week's Bear Tracks digs into what Ty Dubose and the front seven are building, why freshman quarterback Rylan Crooks is checking boxes, and what BHP has to do to get right against a winless but dangerous J.L. Mann squad rolling into the Bear Den. Plus a jersey-design grievance nobody asked for, and a Quick Note on the greatest Bear of them all lighting it up in a Samford uniform. Head down, next play, Them Big Bad Bear Fans.

2026 Week 2 Bear Tracks

The Bears took a bigger, deeper T.L. Hanna team to the wire in the season opener, leading late into the fourth quarter before a 24-yard walk-off kick sent the night to Hanna, 17-14. Even in the loss, this group proved talent and fight still run deep at BHP, and now the challenge only steepens. The number two team in 3A, the Daniel Lions, will host the Bears with maybe the best offense the Bears will see all season and a defense to match. We break down the opener and give the three keys that will decide Friday, And of course, why Them Big Bad Bear Fans need to pack the place once again.
